Transportation Assistance
Helping Cancer Patients Reach the Care They Need
Traveling to and from cancer treatment can create additional stress for patients and families. Transportation costs, distance, and limited access to reliable transportation can make it difficult to attend important medical appointments.
Cancer Services Network provides cancer patient transportation assistance to help eligible individuals access the care they need without worrying about transportation barriers.
Our transportation support helps patients travel to cancer-related appointments, treatment sessions, and medical services throughout our service area. By reducing travel challenges, we help patients focus more on their health, recovery, and overall well-being.
Gas Reimbursement for Cancer-Related Care
Cancer Services Network may provide gas reimbursement to eligible clients traveling to qualifying cancer-related treatment, doctor visits, scans, and imaging appointments.
Reimbursement is provided after the appointment has taken place and the visit has been verified with the medical provider.
Help With the Cost of Traveling to Cancer Care
Frequent treatment appointments can add significant travel expenses for patients and families. Cancer Services Network may help eligible clients with gas reimbursement for certain verified cancer-related appointments.
This program is designed to help offset eligible travel costs after care has been received.
This Is a Reimbursement Program
Understanding the difference between transportation assistance and gas reimbursement is important.
Not a Ride Service
Cancer Services Network does not arrange or provide transportation to appointments through this program.
No Advance Gas Money
Gas money is not provided before a treatment, doctor visit, scan, or other qualifying appointment.
Reimbursement After Verification
Reimbursement can be processed after the visit occurs and Cancer Services Network verifies the appointment with the medical provider.
Cancer-Related Appointments
Eligible treatment travel may include qualifying trips for cancer-related medical care.
Cancer Treatment
Travel to qualifying cancer treatment appointments may be eligible for reimbursement.
Cancer-Related Doctor Visits
Certain physician or clinic visits related to cancer care may qualify.
Scans & Imaging
Qualifying cancer-related scans and imaging appointments may also be eligible.
From Appointment to Reimbursement
The process begins after your qualifying appointment has taken place.
Contact CSN
Contact Cancer Services Network within 30 days after the treatment appointment and report the treatment dates.
CSN Verifies the Visit
The Program Director contacts the clinic or doctor's office to verify that the client was seen on the reported treatment dates.
Reimbursement Is Processed
Once the qualifying treatment dates or scans are verified, the Program Director sends the check request to the Director of Operations.
When Are Reimbursement Checks Prepared?
Once the appointment has been verified and the reimbursement request is approved for processing, the Director of Operations cuts checks on Wednesdays.
Checks are mailed or may be picked up on Thursday.
